Julia Barrera works in an administrative role within Get It Done SB!, including supporting the team with workshops and one on one appointments, training our ACP volunteers, and making sure our clients’ Advance Directives get to their medical providers securely and on time.
Arriving early in the development of the program, Julia joined the team with the goal of ensuring community members’ wishes and values were reflected in their end-of-life plans, drawing on personal experience with family members who planned ahead for their healthcare and were able to die peacefully and with dignity. Now, Julia plays a key role in creating annual program goals, strengthening our volunteer cohort, and making sure our operations run smoothly.
